About Us

In 1998 Goldman Philanthropic Partners (GPP), a private foundation, was founded to accelerate the discovery of new treatments to improve the quality of life for people with disease. In 2005 Partnership for Cures was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to carry on the work GPP started of bringing hope and supporting new directions in medical research.

Commitment:

  • Alleviating suffering and bringing hope to those dealing with life-threatening illness.

  • Challenging research institutions to support alternative approaches for research and funding that may lead to medical breakthroughs.

  • Inspiring and funding researchers with innovative ideas that might otherwise remain unexplored.

  • Honoring a donor's unique motivation to have an impact on the pursuit of treatments and cures.

Values:

  • Accountability
Partnership for Cures rigorously validates and manages research by requiring investigators to develop a Research Roadmap™. This report outlines the budget, time-line, and reporting requirements, as well as the outcome of goals and specific quarterly objectives.

  • Collaboration
Partnership for Cures creates collaborations between researchers, philanthropic investors, and physicians to get treatments to patients quickly.

  • Urgency
